OVERSEAS DIVING 2008

We try to ensure that we offer a diverse and interesting program while only signing the club up for travel arrangements that have enough interest among the membership to be economically healthy. This is like “good news/bad news”. When we travel as a group we get predictable company and better terms and conditions. On the other side we have to agree on where to go and we have to decide early. And we have adhere to time limits for sign-up to avoid late cancellation penalties for the club. We will try to push the sign-up process forward in time. We need to get rid of the last-minute-club stigma. For 5 of the 6 trips below we do have the option of adding more divers than we have currently contracted for, but only if we sign up early enough, while the spots are still open. All the trips have some kind of bonus arrangements, free spots and or group discounts. These benefits will be shared with the members upon return. Last year 3 of 4 trips paid out refunds to the traveler on return. Also please remember that all our trips are priced “all inclusive”. If you try to compare our prices and don’t see the club benefit, please come see me and I will explain.

Sign-up forms and payment schedules have been added to the web site, see below, or they will be available in hardcopy at the regular club meetings.

Program 2008

Utila Aggressor, Bay Islands, Honduras March 15-22, 2008

• This is the prime season for Whale Shark sightings. Direct flight from FL to San Pedro Sula, the air conditioned bus to the harbor where we board the boat for 7 nights with 5 1/2 days of diving.
• Five Deluxe Staterooms
• One Quad Stateroom
• Salon with entertainment center, PC station w/e-mail service($)
• Partially covered sun deck with wet bar, hot tub, ice machine, BBQ grill and chaise lounges
• Price of $2500 includes trip, transfers, port charges, fuel surcharge, park fees, arrival & departure taxes, tips
• Does NOT include airfare - approx $300
• Nitrox is $100 extra
